Hybrid Event Production in New York

One event, two audiences. The online audience should not feel like an afterthought.

hybrid event production — live production

New York Live Streaming

A hybrid event runs for a room of people and an online audience at the same time, and both are supposed to get a real experience. That means the remote audience sees a produced multi-camera program with readable graphics, hears a proper broadcast mix, and can ask questions that actually reach the stage — while remote presenters appear on the room's screens as full participants. New York Live Streaming designs the production so the two audiences are connected rather than parallel: return feeds, mix-minus, moderated Q&A from both sides, and connectivity that holds up for the whole event.

The parts that make hybrid hard

  • Mix-minus, so remote speakers hear the room but not their own delayed voice
  • A return video feed so remote presenters can see the stage and audience
  • Q&A that merges in-room microphones and online questions into one moderated queue
  • Latency management so on-stage interaction with a remote guest doesn't stall
  • Presentation control when the deck is driven by someone who isn't in the building

Speaker readiness

Remote contributions fail in predictable ways: bad home internet, a laptop microphone, backlighting, or a speaker who joins moments before they're needed. We schedule a technical check with each remote presenter, test their upload and audio, and run a virtual green room on the day so they're staged and briefed before they go on.

Capabilities we plan and integrate

  • Remote presenter integration

Remote speakers brought in over a conferencing bridge or dedicated link with mix-minus return audio, IFB where needed, and confidence video.

  • Audience Q&A & moderated chat

Structured question intake from in-room and online audiences, screened by a moderator before reaching the stage or host.

  • Multi-camera switching

Live cut between multiple professional cameras with a hardware or software switcher and a dedicated technical director.

  • PowerPoint / presentation integration

Presentation graphics taken as a clean feed (HDMI/SDI/NDI) and composited into the program with picture-in-picture or full-frame.

  • Backup / redundant streams

A second encoder and network path configured as an automatic or manual failover for the primary stream.

Capabilities are scoped and confirmed per event. We do not claim certifications or assert a feature that has not been validated for your setup.

Frequently asked questions

Can the in-room audience interact with a remote speaker?
Yes. The remote speaker appears on the main screens with room audio in their ears via mix-minus, and a return camera feed of the audience. On-stage hosts can hold a genuine back-and-forth as long as latency is managed, which we plan for.
How do online attendees ask questions?
Through the platform's Q&A or a dedicated form. Those questions join the ones from in-room microphones in a single moderated queue so the host handles both audiences fairly.
What platform is best for a hybrid event?
It depends on audience size, whether registration and analytics matter, and how interactive the online side needs to be. We help you choose between Zoom, Teams, a webinar platform, and a produced webcast, and we can bridge several so each audience gets the right tools.
Can a remote presenter share their own slides?
Yes. They can present from their machine and we composite it into the program, or hand us the deck and they cue us verbally so slide quality and timing stay under production control.
