Manhattan is the center of corporate event production in New York: Midtown hotels and conference centers, Financial District auditoriums, and newer Hudson Yards and Downtown venues. New York Live Streaming produces town halls, investor days, conferences and press events here, planning around the borough's realities — short freight windows, COI requirements, house AV, and hotel networks that block streaming ports or share bandwidth with hundreds of guests.
Hotel and conference-center networks
The single most common Manhattan issue is the venue network. We test measured upload under load, check whether the firewall permits the streaming protocol and platform destinations, and either have the venue provide a dedicated wired line with the right rules or bypass the house network entirely with bonded cellular for the stream.
Typical Manhattan bookings
- Executive town halls and all-hands from Midtown hotels and corporate auditoriums
- Investor days and analyst days in the Financial District
- Association and industry conferences
- Press conferences and product launches
Local production considerations
- Midtown hotel ballrooms typically require freight elevator time slots and early-morning load-in
- Many corporate and hotel networks block RTMP/SRT ports or filter traffic — we coordinate firewall rules with IT or bring our own connectivity for the production rack
- Financial District venues often have strict building security and equipment screening; we submit crew and gear lists in advance
- Some venues carry an in-house AV provider; we plan to integrate rather than compete
- Loading on Midtown side streets is time-restricted — dock and cart timing is planned per address
Frequently asked questions
Our Midtown hotel says it has event Wi-Fi. Is that enough?
Often not for a production stream — it's shared and filtered. We test it, and if it won't hold up we get a dedicated wired line or bring bonded cellular for the encoder only.
Can you get through our corporate firewall?
Usually — either your IT allow-lists the specific streaming destinations and ports, or we put the production rack on our own connectivity so it never touches the corporate network.
Do Financial District buildings need advance clearance for crew?
Many do. We provide crew names and equipment lists ahead of time and build screening into the load-in schedule.
Can you work with the hotel's AV company?
Yes — we take a clean or program feed and add cameras, graphics and streaming, coordinated in the production meeting.
