A multi-camera production position follows live sports action

New York Live Streaming

Sports live streaming is a live-switched multi-camera broadcast of a game or tournament with scoreboard and clock graphics, optional commentary, and — for higher-tier productions — instant replay. New York Live Streaming produces sports at indoor and outdoor venues across the New York area, building the connectivity plan around the site (venue Ethernet indoors, bonded cellular or Starlink for fields), and scaling from a two-camera league stream to a full production with replay and PPV.

Graphics, commentary and replay

Scoreboard, clock and lineup graphics run from a data feed or an operator. Commentary can be at the venue or remote. Instant replay is a specific add-on — a replay operator and hardware — worth it for higher-profile events and not for a basic league stream.

What makes this event different

The action is unscripted and continuous, so operators must know the sport, camera positions have to cover the whole field of play, and graphics need live score and clock data. Outdoor venues rarely have usable internet, so connectivity engineering is central. Instant replay and pay-per-view are common add-ons with their own hardware and staffing.

Sample camera plan

  1. Camera 1Elevated wide 'game' camera at center
  2. Camera 2Tight follow camera for the ball / lead action
  3. Camera 3Opposite side or end-zone / goal
  4. Camera 4Handheld for benches, reactions, interviews

Two-camera minimum for field sports; add positions for replay and detail.

Frequently asked questions

Can you stream from an outdoor field with no internet?
Yes — bonded cellular tested at the venue as primary, Starlink as backup (or primary where there's no cell coverage), with local recording as a safety net.
Do you provide a live scoreboard and clock?
Yes — from a scoring data feed where one exists, or driven by a graphics operator.
Can you add instant replay?
Yes, as an add-on with dedicated hardware and a replay operator. It's worth it for showcase events; a basic league stream usually doesn't need it.
Can we sell access to the broadcast?
Yes — a pay-per-view or subscription page with unique access and a replay window.
